Features and Acoustic Design
The SPS-5000 stands were developed using sophisticated simulation analysis to ensure solid support for the NS-5000 speakers while minimizing unwanted sound reflections and vibrations.
- Exceptional Stability: The four legs are made of solid aluminum, contributing to a substantial total weight of 8 kg (17.6 lbs) per stand, which offers tremendous vibration resistance.
- Acoustic Optimization: The legs have smoothly curved surfaces and are set at a precise 42° angle relative to the speaker’s front baffle to effectively minimize sound reflections.
- Optimal Height: The height of the stand is set to 304 mm (12 inches) with spikes (or 285 mm without spikes) to align the NS-5000’s tweeter with the ears of a seated listener, which also helps to minimize floor reflections.
- Adjustability: The stands feature steel spikes for enhanced stability and vibration reduction, but these can be replaced with rubber feet for delicate floors. Height adjusters (spacers) are also included to prevent any unsteadiness.
