1982
Duch Sim, repairman, opens Cheang Sim in Phnom Penh at the Charles de Gaulle branch on Street 217.
1985
Cheang Sim begins to import electronics, namely audio and music equipments.
2005
Duch Ravuth, son, begins assisting father with day of day operations.
2008
President marries Sodany Chea, currently Chief Financial Officer.
2010
Expand to lighting equipment. Ravuth becomes 100% majority shareholder of company.
2014
Founder Duch Sim passed away at the age of 59.
2016
Company becomes first exclusive distributor of Yamaha products in Cambodia and dozens of other brands.
2017
President completes 6 day Yamaha training in Japan. This marks Ravuth's 20th complete training courses.
2019
Cheang Sim Center recognized as "Best Growth" in global for two years in a row for Yamaha and Bosch.
2023 The shop closed in December 2024.
On February 14, Cheang Sim expanded to a second branch at Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall in Phnom Penh.
2023
On May 14, Cheang Sim inaugurated its largest branch to date at Sok Hok and Charles de Gaulle Blvd.
2025
On June 19, Cheang Sim expanded to Aeon Mall Sen Sok with a new store and music school.
