The Yamaha TMP2F4 Tour Custom is a 4-piece, all-maple shell pack designed for professional gigging and studio drummers. The shells have a satin lacquer finish that allows the maple grain to show through and enhances the drums’ sonic potential.

Features and specifications
  • Shells: The shells are made from 6-ply, 5.6mm thick maple, known for its warm and bright tone.
  • Bearing edge: The shells feature a 45-degree bearing edge, which provides tonal depth, a quick response, and controlled sustain.
  • Hoops: The drums are equipped with 2.3mm Inverse Dyna Hoops. These focus the drum’s fundamental tone and are rounded to protect sticks.
  • Lugs: The shells use Yamaha’s Absolute Lugs, which have a sophisticated design and minimize shell contact for maximum resonance.
  • Mounting system: The Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System (Y.E.S.S.) is designed to minimize contact between the mount and the shell, delivering a wider dynamic range and longer sustain.
  • Tom holder: A TH945C double-tom holder is included with the shell pack, offering a ball-and-socket system for flexible tom placement.
  • Drumheads: The kit ships with Remo UT heads, with clear Ambassadors on the toms and a Powerstroke setup on the bass drum.
