This signature bass, designed in collaboration with Nathan East, features a high-quality neck-through-body construction and active electronics for versatile sound-shaping capabilities.
- Body: A solid alder body with a maple top, featuring comfortable contours on both the front and back.
- Neck: A 5-piece laminated maple and mahogany neck with neck-through-body construction for enhanced sustain and stability.
- Fingerboard: Ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and figured abalone block inlays, including a “BB EAST” logo at the 12th fret.
- Scale Length: 34″.
- Pickups: Two newly developed Alnico V stack humbucking pickups with hum-canceling coils.
- Electronics: Active 3-band EQ, master volume, balancer, and a Mid Cut On/Off switch with a separate Mid Cut Frequency control for precision sound shaping.
- Hardware: Gold-finished die-cast hardware with mother-of-pearl tuners.
- Bridge: Yamaha BPZ-7 (or BPZ-8 depending on source) bridge featuring individual string pieces to reduce interference between strings for a purer tone.
- Case: The bass includes a custom Yamaha hardshell case.
