The Yamaha MODX6+ is a 61-key, semi-weighted synthesizer designed for keyboardists who require a wide range of realistic acoustic and highly programmable synth sounds for stage, studio, and streaming performances.

Motion Control Synthesis engine: This engine unifies and controls two sound generators:

• • • AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory 2): A sample-based engine with 128 notes of polyphony for highly-realistic acoustic instruments, drums, and synth sounds.
    • FM-X (Frequency Modulation): A unique, 8-operator FM engine with 128 notes of polyphony for modern, dynamic electronic music creation.
  • Performance sounds: The synthesizer comes with over 2,200 factory preset performances and offers seamless sound switching for up to four parts.
  • Memory: It features 1.75 GB of integrated, non-volatile flash memory for storing user-created custom samples and synth libraries. This is an increase from the original MODX’s 1 GB.
